earlier this year, which is billed as a spin-off from the main Spider-Man franchise. The character first appeared in the web-slinger's comic books in the '80s, as an elderly clairvoyant who helps Spidey. However, there have been different iterations of the character, and the one Johnson will likely play will be a young woman named Julia Carpenter, who inherits the elderly woman's powers after her death.
Asked how the story is shaping up, Dakota Johnson had this to say about 'Madame Web':"I can tell you pretty much nothing that isn't already on the internet. I'm so excited. It's pretty cool to be in the Marvel world, especially with a character that's not so known. There's a lot of space to make her very cool. I'm really excited. It's always been a dream of mine to do some kind of massive action movie.
"I always wanted to be like a female 'Indiana Jones'. I really have always... I saw the new 'Top Gun', and it's so good! It's so good. There's something about those movies, that's just like, 'Wow, a real human being can do that?'"
