KUALA LUMPUR: A popular actor who was detained for allegedly assaulting and threatening another man at a condominium in Segambut has been released on police bail.

"We have completed the investigation. We will refer the investigation paper to the deputy public prosecutor today," he said when contacted.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Habibi Majinji previously said the victim had asked his friend to buy cooking oil from outside the condominium. “The victim went to the lobby to inquire why his friend was not allowed to enter and a quarrel broke out with the security guard before the actor suddenly punched and kicked him.
