venue in Wildwood was evacuated Friday afternoon because of the threat of strong thunderstorms that were moving across southern New Jersey, according to officials.
Wildwood police said more details would be released as it was available. It was unclear when the annual concert would resume.said “gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm,” as of around 5 p.m. The agency issued a severe thunderstorm warning at about 4:40 p.m., which included the Wildwood area, because of a strong storm that was expected to pack large hail and wind gusts as strong as 60 mph.
