Tagged ‘106 Expressions’, the exhibition will be curated by renowned culture and art custodian Nike Davies-Okundaye, and there will be an intimate display of Bolarinde’s artworks inspired by experiences that traverse time and culture., Bolarinde said, “It will be a collection of artworks celebrating our African heritage. I have drawn inspiration from my experiences as an African child.

The art enthusiast also described her art as a form of preservation. According to her, each piece of artwork at the exhibition will tell a unique story. Born in Lagos, Bolarinde’s formative years were spent in the northern part of Nigeria— from Jos to Kaduna and Zaria, which helped in ‘establishing her unique sense of identity and diversity’.
