The 62-year-old actor was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one other sex offence and is soon due to appear in court.Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said: “The CPS has authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men.
"The charges follow a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation. The charge comes after an investigation was launched by the Met Police in 2017 over allegations which dated back to as far as 1996.However, he was quizzed officers after a number of allegations were made against him between 1996 and 2013.The actor was stripped of an International Emmy Award in the wake of the accusations.
