After graduating from high school in 2014, Sasha briefly attended Texas State University. During her time at college, Sasha shared that she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder.“It's hard to explain to people who care about you that you can't sleep and you're hearing voices all day and you're sad and you're just tired. By the time I was a teenager, I was so tired.”
She went on to star in Hearts Beat Loud and The Miseducation of Cameron Post. The latter film won Top Prize at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. She explained that she made the choice to become a single mom and brought her daughter along with her when she began filming Conversations with Friends.She previously dated her American Honey co-star Shia Labeouf for a period in 2015.
