Otherwise, you risk feeling unfulfilled or, perhaps even worse, totally empty. Navigating success is trickier for BIPOC actors who often have to face biases and roadblocks that their white counterparts don’t even have to think about, like being typecast because of your cultural identity.

But Raísa, true to form, has risen to the occasion. Part of her success, I suspect, is rooted in her ability to set boundaries just as intentionally as she sets goals.
