Tosh. Real horror fans want more than just someone going BOO! over and over and over again. It's boring and extremely lazy filmmaking. The occassional jump scare done right is great but not when it's all you have.
shit take
No.
Jump scares are way over used by directors that have no idea about creating horror.
Stop the hot takes. These films have very low budgets and actually inject new life into these films. Let there be diversity. Jump scares are cheap, overdone, have been around for years, and aren't going anywhere anyways. Psychological horror is rich and terrifying in a new way.
There are literally hundreds of jump-scare films every year, please feel free to watch any of them.
