Approximately 70 Lake Forest High School students participated in a lunchtime protest this week regarding abortion rights, and were joined by a lone counter demonstrator who held a sign calling for the repeal of the 19th Amendment.

The students held up signs on the McKinley Road parkway, which is adjacent to, but not part of school property, according to school officials.

The students who protested outside of their lunch period will receive an unexcused absence from class, school officials said.
