British actor Tony is best known for playing Bob Hope on Emmerdale since 2000 - away from the character he has a surprising second career and has dealt with personal heartbreak

Bob Hope has played a central role in Emmerdale for over two decades, having made his first appearace on the ITV soap back in 2000.

The actor said in a previous interview that Ruth was adamant to help people in her final days, and made sure some of her cells were harvested so they could be used in cancer research trials and Tony is hoping that her help will be pivotal in a breakthrough for a cure for the disease.
