A reimagining of the original British series -- which got an American version in 2000 -- follows "a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.
" Creator Stephen Dunn, who met with survivors of the Pulse shooting in Orlando, told THR the show is "inspired by the realities of what that was like -- not just that night, but the aftermath and the way that the community of Orlando rebuilt in the wake of that tragedy." The series premieres June 9 on Peacock.
