'I definitely paid to have that private moment and gave a nice donation to the church,' the actor said about his Vatican City visit.

“I found people who wanted to take pictures with me, which is very odd, during a trip to the Vatican with all this splendor, and they want to take pictures with me, which I don’t get, but regardless, I did,” Momoa continued. “I was very respectful, and I asked for permission — what I thought would be OK. I would never want to do anything to disrespect someone’s culture, so if I did, I apologize. It wasn’t my intention.

He added, “I definitely paid to have that private moment and gave a nice donation to the church. I love you — sorry if I offended you. My apologies.”At another point during the video, the actor said that he was about to leave Rome after having filmed there and in other parts of Italy for. He described it as “the time of my life” and added, “I’m so happy to be working for Universal, and obviously Vin and the whole crew picking me.

He's a liar. It's strictly FORBIDDEN!! The light emanating from the camera, especially if using flash, can & does fades the paint!

For 'posting photos'? That's not the issue, it's the light emanating from the device onto the paint while taking a picture that helps FADE the paint!

So he should. His comment about making a large donation sums up celebrity entitlement

It's a private place and they have rules to be respected like many other religious sites around the world. In Thailand, you can get fined for taking photos at the Buddha temple at the Grand Palace. I saw an officer forcing a tourist to delete all the photos in front of him.

Has Jason spoke about himself grouping his own daughter?

They claim the flash can damage the artwork. Turn the flash off.

Lmao imagine Catholics think they have moral high ground with all the vile crap they’ve committed thru the ages. Oh and the pedophilia

Jason that’s amateur hour, you never show or admit you take pictures.

People are REACHINGGGGGGGGG at this point. Especially something from the disgusting Catholic Church who just wants money

I wonder if you have to pay to tour the chapel?

I guess this is another example of how the 'old world' is having trouble adapting to the modern 'always connected' world. They didn't worry about this before a photo could be shared and seen by millions in 1 second.

Fuck that place

Link to the photos

why? it's an absolute art piece of a building, i'm sure michelangelo himself would have wanted people to see those pictures

Give me a break. The only reason you are not allowed to take pictures is because the Japanese company who owns the rights to the AV of the Sistine Chapel doesn’t want you to without paying

How ridiculous. If you have nothing better to do than complain about him being a tourist, please… find a hobby.

The swiss army guards needed to arrest him and take his camera just like they would do anyone else!

How bad photo could be?

Imagine being him and having to do this. The era of making everyone feel bad about rubbish. His apology tour begins next week

It's just not allowed, because they want everyone to come in person, to make more money.

How ridiculous this whole thing is. Its a painting.

Its ok ok...

He gave the opportunity for a large number of people to see something that the would not otherwise experience in their lives. How is that wrong?

Huh?

This is a thing? Lol

Was asked by other tourists why i wasn't clicking pics even though i had a camera.

It was nice that he wanted to check it out. Not a bad thing to be curious and respectful.

honestly it's more weird that you can't take photos in the sistine chapel.
