Well, they're finally doing it. After all these years, The Late Late Toy Show is going full musical theatre.Officially announced on Friday night's edition of the regular Late Late, the Toy Show musical will take to the stage just in time for Christmas.Set to wow the live crowd at Dublin's Convention Centre, Toy Show The Musical – cryptic title, fair play – will present the story of one little girl's adventure as she and her family prepare for the biggest night of their lives.
Created and produced by Late Late show producers Jane Murphy and Katherine Drohan, the musical runs from 10 December. Tickets priced from €25 go on sale from Thursday, 19 May at 10am. Also involved in the production will be director Séimi Campbell, whose recent credits include Gary Barlow's 'A Different Stage' and Jason Robert Brown's 'Songs For a New World' at the London Palladium. Award-winning playwright Lisa Tierney-Keogh will handling writing duties for the show.As for arguably the most important part of the whole affair, Grammy-nominated artist RuthAnne Cunningham will craft the music.
