An Avatar: The Last Airbender TikTok reimagines the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon as a reality TV show. Avatar ran for three seasons between 2005 and 2008 and became one of Nickelodeon’s most critically acclaimed series. On the surface, Avatar: The Last Airbender appears to just be a kids' show, but Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko were able to successfully implement themes of imperialism, genocide, destiny, and free will.
Part of Avatar: The Last Airbender’s charm is its core group of characters. Sokka and Katara quickly bond with Aang after discovering him in an iceberg near the Southern Water Tribe’s village and agree to help him as he ventures to master the four elements. Toph Beifong, one of the show’s most powerful earthbenders, joined the gang at the beginning of season 2. Toph not only helped Aang in his journey to defeat Fire Lord Ozai but also returned in The Legend of Korra.
Fans of the animated series shouldn’t be too stressed though since DiMartino and Konietzko are leading Nickelodeon’s Avatar Studios, with plans to release new TV shows, spinoffs, shorts, and movies. Avatar: The Last Airbender only seems to be getting more popular as time passes, as evident by the above TikTok and the countless other fan videos and artworks.
It would be just as shit as the live action movie they made
