Tackling the evils of money rituals, Inkblot Productions, in collaboration with FilmOne Entertainment, is set to release a new thriller, The Blood Covenant, which also tackles societal tropes such as greed, peer pressure and corruption.

Directed by Fiyin Gambo, from a script written by Chiemaka Osagwu, alongside Inkblot co-founder, Chinaza Onuzo, the film follows the lives of Eddy, Jite and Tunde – three ambitious young men in their late 20s, struggling to make it in life.

He said: “Leave all the banters of having to kill somebody to get money. Anytime you have to take someone’s life or bring tears to someone’s family to achieve success – that is not true success! That’s what the film is about. It was definitely challenging to make. Obviously, long nights…But working with the best crew, FilmOne and Inkblot Production made it a lot easier.”

Rotimi Salami, a Nollywood actor, said, the issue of money rituals should be addressed the same way or more often than domestic violence. One of the lead characters, Uzor Arukwe, explained: “People are trying to get rich, people who are making money still want to make more money, and make it fast, because the economy itself is just somehow.
