Hays played the role of Kim Sullivan Hughes for 38 years on the daytime soap, “As the World Turns.” She was on the show from 1972 until the series concluded in 2010.

She also appeared on another daytime soap, “Guiding Light.” There was a long list, too, of television appearances outside of the soaps for Hays, who was born, Kay Piper.
