Net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

A Tribute to Ukraine will see Ukrainian-Canadian Maestro Boris Brott conduct the orchestra through a program featuring various works including Prayer for Peace by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko, along with the Canadian and Ukrainian national anthems.

Set to take place April 20 at the Orpheum Theatre, net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the“The VSO’s commitment to our mission ‘to create, curate and connect irresistible musical experiences’ continues throughout times of crisis,” Angela Elster, CEO and president of the VSO and the VSO School of Music, said in a news release.
