After a cold front this week, there’s a warm weekend coming up in Boston. If you’re looking to get some sun, we have a few outdoor activities for you. Food truck season is back at the Greenway Conservancy and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum will display their hanging nasturtiums. You can also catch special programs at the historic Old Town Hall in Salem as it converts into a creative space for the next few months.
The works depict scenes like lovers embracing one another at the end of the world and piercing neon pink self-portraits. Still life paintings become modern with pops of color and multimedia materials. The show features artists such as David Antonio Cruz, Louis Fratino and Gisela McDaniel. The ICA says that the exhibit is “a testament to the vitality of contemporary figurative art.”The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum rings in each new season with an exhibition of nature.
