Police say the robbers stole the crew's camera gear from their parked SUV about 6:15 p.m. Friday. Posts from social media say the film crew was from Canada. The suspects drove away in a silver Infinity sedan.

I live an hour away from SF in the burbs. Long ago I decided SF is a no go zone. You cant say you were not warned if you do decide to visit.

They're not going to do anything. SFDA, district supervisors, the mayor all care about themselves, their own pockets. Thay don't care about anyone else. There's so much outcry from the people and what do they do, free homes to homeless, access to drugs, ya not my San Francisco.

There’s a video of this San Francisco crime but the SF news stations rarely play it. By contrast, I remember seeing the video of a mentally ill homeless man pushing an elderly Asian man to the ground in Oakland Chinatown, played dozens of times by the SF news stations.

Did they have anyone advising them about filming in SF or touring SF. A similar thing happened on the bridge entrance a while ago. The crime is well known.

This is TWIN PEAKS - how in the world is there not a security presence at a national landmark in one of the greatest cities in the world. There are much smaller places that have police presence. SF needs to step up and provide some basic security to its residents and visitors.

SFPD LondonBreed Crimes like this in such a popular tourist location make SF look lawless. It's not the 1st, 2nd, or 100th time. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know you need police or another deterrent on-site. Replacing the inept politicians is a start.

Criminals will take their chances in San Francisco knowing that its so lenient. My father-in-law was a cop in San Francisco in the 60s and he said it was the same even then. Criminals know the odds are in their favor and it’s worth the risk.

Gee, if they only had some way to track people down by their license plate. Citizens doing more to try to solve crime than our city leaders.
SFPD if you, the DA and the liberal politicians of SF have been doing your jobs properly and enforcing laws for the past few years, this type of thing that happens very often and an embarrassment to the city, wouldn’t be happening at all.

All SFPD ever does is react. It’s been a problem up there with violent crime and even murder for years. A heavy tourist spot that in any properly managed tourist mecca would have officers on site all the time.
