Danrie Productions is following up its terrific staging of “West Side Story” with a look back at the company’s beginnings. Its first production wasa film exploring music from around the world. The company will stage a live concert version of the movie starring founder Ernest Saucedo, a violinist, singer and dancer.
Proceeds will go toward future productions.which fuses the African American experience with dance traditions from around the world, returns to the Carver Community Cultural Center. The evening will feature the Texas premiere of “The Four Journeys,” which was conceived by Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernández, artistic director of Ballet Folklórico de Mexico.
