Oscars 2022 Shocker: Did Will Smith really hit Chris Rock in the face on live TV?

In the most confusing moment at the Oscars since the wrong movie was announced as best picture atRock had come on stage to present the award for best documentary feature, and decided to riff a little bit on the big names in the front rows.

Then Rock turned to married couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, making a crack about her closely cropped hair, asking if she was making “G.I. Jane II.” Pinkett SmithSmith seemed to laugh, but moments later strode on stage and appeared to hit Rock in the face. Apparently uncensored clips on Twitter showed Rock, stunned, announce “Will Smith just smacked the out of me on live television.”
