The problem is partly military. Moscow’s forces have failed to secure major cities, including the capital, Kyiv. They have suffered tens of thousands of casualties – including 16,000 dead, according to Ukraine – and lost hundreds of tanks, planes and armoured vehicles.

Complete isolation is the only answer. Everything sanctioned - financially, sporting, socially, culture, the Arts; everything. Mind you, after his 2 years of self imposed isolation maybe this is how he became so paranoid, in the first place. Why haven’t FUoR been removed yet?
