For its effort, the $159 million budget wasn’t enough for "The Irishman" to take home even one of its 10 Academy Award nominations. Elliot’s disapproval for the adaptation of the 1967 novel by Thomas Savage aside, "Power of the Dog" is nominated for a whopping 12 Academy Awards.
