The announcement was posted in the comments section of a thread claiming Doja had somehow mistreated her fans in Paraguay after the Asunciónico music festival, where she was scheduled to perform, was canceled due to a major storm. Some claimed she was being rude by not greeting them outside her hotel after the festival was called off.
Doja Cat is far from the first musician to encounter the truly deranged corners of her own fandom online, but it remains to be seen whether she’s actually done for good. She’s scheduled to perform at the Grammys in April, and according to TMZ, a source says she is still “looking forward” to performing in Brazil Friday night.
