Star pop artist Billie Eilish brought her Happier Than Ever tour to town.

Last time around, Billie Eilish played a sold out show at the PNE Amphitheatre to an adoring audience of mostly teens, some parents and a handful of tastemakers and gawkers in the back rows.

It was abundantly clear that she was the real deal. All knew it was the last time to catch her in a venue that size. All the right pieces were in play – great songs, neat staging and a profound connection with fans.At Rogers Arena, it was a non-stop release for fans who fairly felt like it was their show. Such is Eilish’s connection to her audience, that she is worshipped, but also seemingly down to Earth.

California wildfires licked the stage, she was both a harbinger of doom and a cynical voice of a generation who didn’t matter enough to their parents to try to save the planet they inherit. Powerful stuff. And you could dance to it too. As the concert finished up, you had to wonder what is coming next from the dynamic duo of Billie and Finneas.
