Fair City star Paul McQuaid has said it was nerve to joining such an established TV show, especially given the nature of his current storyline.
"And to come into a storyline where the characters are already so well established and are known and loved, and you have to disrupt that, that is something you have to take very seriously. On screen, sparks have been flying between Jon and Melanie and it looks like a romance between them could be on the cards. Of course, Mondo was planning to propose to Melanie before Jon arrived in Carrigstown.
"He wants to do things right by everyone and that is something that Jon takes very seriously. As far as Melanie is concerned, he is quite confused because a moment happened between the two of them.
