Director-General of NYSC, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim made this known on Friday, while signing a memorandum of understanding with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to henceforth activate its powers to prosecute offenders.

General Ibrahim, who was represented by the Director, Legal Services of the Scheme, Barrister Tijjani Ahmed Ibrahim, lamented that NYSC has been having constraints in prosecuting some of its cases but expressed optimism that the partnership with the NSCDC will bring the situation to an end. The Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi gave assurance that the pact would assist the NYSC achieve its mandate.
