The Archbishops of Armagh, Eamon Martin and John McDowell, also prayed for an end to"this pointless massacre and pulverising of the property, bodies and spirit of the Ukrainian people."
"We pray for the Ukrainian people who already share this island with us, and for their families and friends who are trapped in the horror of destruction and bloodshed at home. "At a young age St Patrick was captured and trafficked to these shores - no doubt frightened, disoriented, distressed and fearful for his life. In the opening words of his Confession, he describes how he and others 'were scattered among many nations'," their statement added.
We really needed two elderly blokes in strange hats to tell us that.
Are they opening up their churches? Is the Vatican opening its doors? Like sh*te they are.
They should have let Ukrainia in to nato Putin is holding the world to ransom
Will the priests with ten rooms and a housekeeper be taking in many ?
Bet ye they won't be taking anyone in from Ukraine
We already are but thanks for the statement 🙄
Ya the Catholic church always showed compassion to unmarried mothers etc - Not one word of what the Church is going to do with all their money and property etc. - They urge people to help well maybe the church should help, not preach -
Like they showed compassion to Irish mothers and children? Like they show compassion to homeless Irish? These agencies have no need to preach to the Irish on compassion, it's theirs that needs to be examined.
Can archbishops pledge a room in there castles
