Death in Paradise's Ralf Little opens up on 'huge responsibility' of the show

"When I took the show on, I didn't really think about the responsibility of it, I was like 'This is great!' and of course who wouldn't be delighted to take on that role? Then literally, when the first episode came out, about 10 minutes before I suddenly went 'This is a huge responsibility, people love this thing, what if all the ratings go off a cliff?'.

Little also went on to confess that he finds filming the show on the small island of Guadeloupe for 6 months"demanding" due to the climate and work schedule, but that in the end, the experience is worth it. "It is a physically demanding show because it's hot and sweaty and I'm up at 5.30am every morning to go to work. That said, before everyone starts playing the tiniest violins in the world for me, you finish work and go 'I can go and swim in the Caribbean sea'. It's a dream job. It's tough at times but I wouldn't change it."
