Jessica Licciardello, founder of JLDello Art & Design, a graphic design studio, and survivor of domestic abuse, is now using her art to help others find their voice, develop self-confidence and courage to stand up for themselves. 8 Minutes To Freedom is an art exhibit and short film.

“It was 12 years of being in a situation that was less than ideal for me emotionally, financially and mentally,” Licciardello shares. “It goes very deep. And it took me a lot of time to understand what I was going through and to also make decisions to get out of the harmful situation.”... [+]

To help with the healing process, she began focusing on creating her own artwork, which led her to meet the former owners of magazine. They featured her in the 2018 May issue. At that time, she had started her studio. Through a couple of conversations, the former owners of the magazine asked her to serve as their creative director.

Also, through her studio, she serves as the creative director of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation in the Hamptons and O’Neill’s Pub & Grill in the Hudson Valley. Her other artwork can be seen in Loves Gallery in Southampton. Additionally, her artwork has been sold in 15 different countries. provides information and resources to help victims.
