After debuting in the South Korean market three years ago with period horror-drama Kingdom, streaming giant Netflix has circled back to zombies with its latest tentpole series All of Us Are Dead.
So far, so good. Despite the quick pacing and the melee of characters thrown at us, a clear picture emerges of the main protagonists and their relationships with, and feelings toward, one another. Miles away from her Squid Game character, Lee Yoo-mi plays snotty rich kid Nayeon who looks down on anyone below her social level, while Yoo In-soo is Gwinam, a bully who maintains his predatory position when Hyosan becomes overrun with the undead.
With 12 episodes that average an hour each, All of Us Are Dead is the longest Korean original series that Netflix has put out .
