RTE viewers were left 'drowning in tears' after an emotional first episode of Operation Transformation. The programme will span for eight weeks as the audience see the leaders undertake the challenge and look to the experts for help in achieving their lifestyle goals. One said: "I'm loving the leaders so far...
A second said: "The stories enable viewers experiencing similar things to connect with the OT leaders".Viewers praised one of this year's leaders Kathleen Hurley Mullins who shared her story. She had a difficult year after her sister became unwell in December 2020 and passed away suddenly due to undiagnosed ovarian cancer. In May 2021, she decided to have the cyst and her ovaries removed, which caused her to enter surgical menopause.
A second said: "Kathleen is so brave and I've no doubt that Susan will be so proud of her! Wishing her all the best on this journey". While others were moved by Kathleen's story saying: "Last year's episode didn't go down the route of these stories did they?A third said: "It starts this way every year. Nearly every episode is a tear jerker!"
I'm convinced that RTE must be paying the Irish Mirror to produce these soppy headlines....
