Many platforms, like Clio, Onit, and Litera, are backed by major PE firms like TCV, K1 Investment Management, and Hg, fueling hyper-growth through strings of acquisitions.
Customer demand is also fueling the growth of platforms. Law firms and lawyers prefer all-in-one platforms over fragmented tools and software, according to Butler Curtis. The contract-life-cycle-management market, which has over 150 companies, is especially ripe for consolidation, experts told Insider.
