Before moving to England and joining Newcastle United in 1995, David, 54, had played for four different teams in France. Before finding fame as a Paralympian, she competed in numerous national running competitions, and had hopes of joining the British skeleton team. She joined Radio 5 Live in 1998, where she presented many of the show's main programmes. Louise soon joined the BBC as a news presenter, and shifted her focus to TV rather than radio.
