Kristin Chenoweth Is Engaged—And Broadway Played a Part in Her Proposal

Congratulations are in order to actor and singer Kristin Chenoweth, who said yes to musician Josh Bryant’s proposal on the rooftop of the Rainbow Room in New York City on Wednesday night. The two spent the day doing all of the NYC things they love, including—of course—walking around Broadway. After the immediate shock of the proposal wore off, they headed to dinner at Fresco by Scotto. “I’ve been the runaway bride,” Kristin jokes of her dating history.

The two met at Kristin’s niece’s wedding in 2016 and then again in 2018 at her nephew’s wedding. Josh was playing in a band that performed at both weddings called Backroad Anthem. They started dating in August of 2018, and Josh ultimately proposed with a three-stone Halo ring. “My best friend and soulmate said ‘YES’ to me!” Josh says.
