has set out to support the development of the unique perspectives and stories that have stemmed from this time into something more. For its seventh year, Chanel meets cinema to provide that reliable place for storytelling via its annualSince its creation in 2015 and in tandem with the Tribeca Film Festival, the program has offered support, mentorship, funding, and more to emerging US-based self-identifying women and non-binary writers and directors.
This year’s program kicked off on October 12 and offers three days of interactive workshops for emerging women filmmaker finalists. The workshops include one-on-one support in every aspect of the filmmaking process — including pitching, writing, music, design, and production. If that wasn’t fantastic enough, at the end of the program, participating individuals get the opportunity to pitch their project to a jury of industry experts for the chance to gain full funding to produce their short film.
