This week's episode of The Late Late Show will honour rock star and philanthropist Bob Geldof ahead of his 70th birthday next week.The show will chronicle Geldof's life achievements from his career as lead singer of Irish rockers The Boomtown Rats to his charity fundraising work with Band Aid, Live Aid and more.Host Ryan Tubridy will be joined in-studio by Geldof himself, alongside his wife Jeanne, children Pixie and Tiger and sister Lynn.

Geldof will also receive a special birthday wish from President Michael D. Higgins while former President Mary Robinson will speak to the show about her relationship with Geldof and his role as a humanitarian. On top of this, Andrea Corr, Imelda May, Midge Ure and Geldof's bandmates in The Boomtown Rats will be paying tribute on the night.

Also, there will be special contributions from friends across entertainment and beyond such as Ringo Starr, Sting, Tony Blair and Van Morrison.A big James Bond special! Ranking all of Daniel Craig's Bond movies from worst to best!
