The racketeering case against R. Kelly heads to the jury after 45 witnesses testified during the trial airing accusations he abused women and ran a criminal enterprise

The federal racketeering trial of R&B singer R. Kelly was slated to go to the jury Friday after prosecutors and defense lawyers delivered two days of closing arguments.

Prosecutors called 45 witnesses and introduced hundreds of exhibits during the trial in Brooklyn that began in August, hoping to persuade jurors that the Grammy award-winning singer of hits like “I Believe I Can Fly” led a criminal enterprise for decades and used his entourage
