A budding singer, Owoyemi Adekunle, aka Adeckz, has said that he uses his music to nurture humanity and not harass or embarrass anyone. He told“I show love through my music. I don’t use my music to embarrass or abuse humanity or my culture. I always maintain simplicity in the course of my journey because I want to go far in life.”
Speaking on his current projects, he said, “I am presently working on a two-track Extended Play album. When released, I believe the songs will make a way for me in the industry.” The singer also noted that nature often inspired him. He said, “I believe so much in nature and it inspires me. Culture also inspires my songs. One of my songs,, was inspired by the way people were shouting my name when a woman was trying to slander me.was inspired when I noticed that some people are quick to share tributes to deceased persons but didn’t celebrated them when they were alive.”
Recalling how he started his music career, Adeckz said, “I started my music career in 2003. Then, I used to make ‘cover’ versions of already existing songs. During that period, my friends and I formed a group. However, I discovered myself fully in 2007 when I met an artiste friend who invited me to join the choir in my church.”
