Watched excellent PBS doc on eugenics recently and was struck by similarities: it also was settled science promoted by progressives, accepted by scientists, driven by fear, genetics like climate science was still in its infancy - both of which are more complicated than first view
Worst argument this pretentious politicians make is bringing up local catastrophes like forest fires and floods. So here is their solution we are going change planet's climate in next 6 months which will stop these events 100% !
Even if everyone is dead in Canada tomorrow it is not going to make any effect on Earth's climate.

Great article! The solution to reducing CO2 will come from innovation and Canada can play a part. However this carbon tax is just to silly to talk about.
Rex is seriously positing that Co2 is 'not a pollutant' because it is 'nature-produced life-giving and life-enhancing'. It should be obvious to a grade schooler, but this does not mean that you want to fill up the atmosphere with as much of it as possible.

This is the absolute truth. Canada is responsible for 1.6% of global emissions. We are neither the problem nor the solution. Destroying our economy just so we can collectively feel good is madness. Nothing we do to reduce emissions will matter on the global scale. That is fact.
