As for Mason, Khemlani wrote that he “is committed to covering culture – both in terms of how it defines the atmosphere of the country and how culture changes it. He believes fiercely that art and music are integral to our culture, not merely odd indulgences. They frequently define our time in very real ways.
This was NOT a wise decision. Burleson is not a good fit for a news program. He lacks the education to effectively be a co-anchor. He needs to articulate more when he speaks. This aint a sports broadcast. CBSMornings should’ve hired an Asian American anchor!
I love Anthony Mason & his style & energy to everything he did. I'm not happy he's not at the table anymore, but I won't be at the table anymore either!!! Not a fan of Gayle anymore, for many reasons....very disappointed with CBS......
CBS This Morning will not be the same without Anthony Mason, what a great talent he really is. This show will sink further down without Anthony!
Interesting that no Hispanic was selected to fill this sport. It becomes annoying hoping that CBS will someday have a Hispanic at the morning show desk. Sometimes we see Adriana Diaz there but she is only at the desk sparingly and never permanently. Sad, I won’t be watching!

There is a segment of the population that prefers the news to the fluff of the Today Show & GMA. CBSthismorning and CBSAnthonyMason
I hope this was Anthony's choice but I fear not. He is the best and I know I won't want to watch as much now.
