She has previously discussed her 2008 battle with breast cancer, after which she had a double mastectomy as well as her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed.

A co-worker was diagnosed 20 years ago. It's an ugly disease. I wish her the best. Research has advanced over the past 20 years, but that doesn't make today's diagnosis any easier to accept.
