Pixar turns 35 this year and fans around the world have been finding interesting ways to celebrate the occasion, or to just show their appreciation for the animation house.

Some public libraries in the United States, for example, have come up with lists of Pixar-related books, films and games that fans can check out from their digital archives. There are also independent film companies, film editors, artists and designers who have created artworks and video montages to commemorate the anniversary.Popular shopping mall and tourist destination Harbour City have linked up with Disney and Pixar to organise the large-scale event, happening now until Aug 15.

Harbour City also has a special augmented reality check-in system for the event, and an online game for those who prefer the virtual world. Meanwhile, the iconic Pixar mascot can be found on the observatory deck as an art installation. The giant Pixar Ball & Lamp is 5.2m tall, which is similar to that of the sculpture found at the company’s headquarters in California, the US.
