Starting this week, new Amazon Music Unlimited customers in the U.S. and Canada can receive six months of Disney Plus for no extra charge. Existing Amazon Music Unlimited customers will receive three months of Disney Plus.to redeem the free Disney Plus offer. According to the companies, current Disney Plus subscribers are ineligible for the limited-time promotion.
Amazon Music Unlimited, which offers some 60 million songs and curated playlists and stations, costs $7.99/month for Prime members and $9.99/month for everyone else. . The Mouse House reported 103.6 million subscribers for its flagship direct-to-consumer package as of April 3, about a year and half after initial launch. Disney also has a distribution deal with Verizon, which currently offers the Disney streaming bundle forLikewise, Amazon is looking to lure more paying customers for its music-streaming service, which competes primarily with Spotify and Apple Music. In announcing the promo, Amazon Music called out Disney Plus recent premieres like Disney/Pixar’s “Luca” and Marvel series “Loki” and noted upcoming series, including “Monsters at Work” and “Turner & Hooch” . Disney Plus is the streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, along with full seasons of “The Simpsons” and original series like “The Mandalorian,” “The Falcon and the Winter Solider” and “WandaVision.” In select international markets, Disney Plus is incorporated into the media conglom’s new general entertainment content brand, Star.
