I did not see Sir Anthony Hopkins in 'The Father', but I did see Chadwick Boseman in 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' and he was sensational. I was really pulling for him. To perform as he did while masking what must have been intense pain. Incredible. RIP Chadwick Boseman.
People want to play the game but they want the game fixed in their favor. They want everything in life to be handed to them like welfare. And they are saying that every non black winner is illegitimate. So when is the baby-fit BLM riot over this? HAHAHA!

This is not what the backlash was about! It's because they milked his death for all it was worth to them: ratings. Anthony Hopkins deserves an Oscar for everything he's been in and so does Chadwick for this.
Maybe if Chadwick had gotten out there and promoted the film more he might have won

The academy didn't snub him. fans don't understand how the academy works. 1st they choose the best films based on many variables. then from there they trickle them down to sub categories. when a person wins from the past in a category they get a vote.
