Festival Director Barry Harley has spoken to Sky News about the iconic Tamworth Country Music Festival, which had to be cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Harley said it was a "big call" to cancel the famous event. "It was one that we didn't make lightly". "We took into account all of the health orders".

Next year is set to be the 50th anniversary of the festival. Mr Harley said there's a "bit of a positive side of cancelling the 2021 festival". "We were able to start planning for the 2022 much earlier, and so a lot of those plans are in place".
