3. The Academic Staff Union of Universities has threatened to resume its suspended strike over non-payment of salaries and alleged victimisation of members. Chairman, University of Ibadan branch of ASUU, Prof. Ayo Akinwole, in a statement on Sunday asked Nigerians to blame the Federal Government if universities are shut down again.

5. The Chief of Army Staff , Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, on Sunday, assured that the ongoing war against Boko Haram will soon be over. Attahiru was in Yobe State yesterday to pay a morale-boosting visit on the troops of Sector 2 Operation Lafiya Dole of the Nigerian Army in Damaturu. 7. The Sultan of Sokoto and the President General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs , Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared Monday, March 15, as the first day of Sha’aban 1442AH. Abubakar, made the declaration in a statement by Prof. Sambo Junaidu, Chairman, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, Sultanate Council, Sokoto.
