Adam says his GE firelighter "doesn't take no for an answer"
I don't set out to collect old things, but I also don't change things for the sake of it, especially when they work perfectly well or in the case of this firelighter, there's not a new equivalent anyway. It's a rather out-of-the-ordinary gadget. Today I take pride in ensuring my watch is set accurately to ensure the natural and minute changes which may have occurred overnight are corrected.
And I fart through the same hole I've had since birth.
I bet still sounds rubbish...digital music especially MPEG is awful.
Can't beat valves for richness of sound 👍
The bbc with their grasp of the latest trends in technology and culture......
So? This is nothing new.
I eat apples wrapped in orange peel.
😯😎
I have some Mission speaker. When I bought them in Birmingham in 1984 & took them home on the bus it never crossed my mind that one day I would be playing music streamed in from a phone across the air & through them via a wireless (Bluetooth) connection. Amazing.
My father owned one of these radios, (found it at his work) you turned it on, you thought it was broken, sound came on about 10 seconds, that was it warming up. Loved all the places on the dial Luxemberg, Faroe etc.
I love curry shop sauce from B & M. Taste like really chippy curry 😋
Vintage, does that hark back to a time when people were forced to pay one television channel to be able watch others? No, sorry, I stand corrected.
