Beyonce threw her support for Meghan Markle, following an interview with Oprah wherein she accused the UK royals of racism and opened up about having suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant with her son, Archie.
On her official website, the multi-Grammy winner posted a photo of herself and Meghan with the message:"Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you."This wouldn't be the first time for Beyonce to publicly show support for Meghan. Beyonce and husband Jay-Z,On Monday, March 8 , Meghan and husband Prince Harry's interview with Oprahin the US, followed by a broadcast in the UK.
Queen Elizabeth, Harry's grandmother and the Head of State of the Commonwealth, later issued a statement saying she was"saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan" and that they'd investigate racism allegations privately. Meghan and Harry, who are expecting their second child in 2021, wed in 2018. In early 2020, they announced they would befrom major royal duties and would relocated to North America. They lived in Canada for a while before finally settling in California.
In the interview with Oprah, Harry explained that they decided to step back from royal duties also because of worries that history would repeat itself – referring to the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997 in a crash as she was being chased down by photographers.
