Daft Punk isn’t the first act to bow out without releasing a follow-up to a Grammy-winning album of the year.

Simon & Garfunkel never released a studio follow-up to 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' which swept the 1970 awards.announced Monday that it is calling it quits, seven years after their fourth and apparently final studio album,, won the Grammy for album of the year at the 56th annual Grammy Awards in January 2014.

The acclaimed EDM duo isn’t the first act to bow out without releasing a follow-up to a Grammy winner for album of the year.
